Greetings my lords (and ladies),

I am truly humbled to be given this opportunity to introduce myself as the regent and reigning Queen of the Kingdom of England. You may also know me by my birth name, Rose Bigod.

I would like to present you with the Book of Magna Carta Libertatum—Medieval Latin for "Great Charter of Freedoms," commonly called Magna Carta or "Great Charter"—which I have written as the rule of law and constitution of the Kingdom of England.

Magna Carta established the rules that sales tax could not be set without English citizens' consent, and Parliament—England's highest court of justice, which includes the regent, governors, and citizens of the kingdom—was able to assert its power to configure taxes. As such, in times of peace, markets in the Kingdom of England always have 0% Kingdom Taxes and 0% City Taxes.

Parliament is the Royal court located in the Castle of London, next to my throne room. It is divided into two groups:
  • House of Commons, where citizens of the Kingdom of England can vote to change the kingdom's rules and Royal laws, and
  • House of Lords, where the most deserving citizens of the Kingdom will receive exclusive noble and administrative titles (unique in-game titles on the Chronicles of Middle Ages, e.g. Prince of Wales, Earl of Shiring, Duke of Cambridge, ect.), available only in the old and ancient Kingdom of England.
Once again, I am humbled to be given this opportunity to speak before you. I look forward to hearing from you on the Chronicles of Middle Ages.

Faithfully,

Rose B
