Born into a minor noble family with moderate power & wealth, Kol has followed his personal ambition and desire to see the Kingdom of Sweden rise in the world. Some claim he is a descendent of Haraldr Sigurðarson (Harald Hardrada) the King of Norway. If such is true it would provide Kol a claim on the Kingdom of Norway, though at this time he has only shown an interest in building Sweden into the a Baltic power, both of military might and trade.
